WORST: Ford Tempo (1988-1994)

The Ford Tempo is the first passenger car to feature all-wheel-drive and also an airbag on the driver’s side. Interestingly, more than 400,000 of this unit was sold in 1984 alone…the same year it was released. This was a successful release for Ford as it helped them to keep afloat and not run bankrupt during the 80s.

However, the second generation Ford was one of the worst releases for the auto giant. It had a faulty ignition as well as acceleration and steering issues. To top off the drawbacks, the design was super poor. This among other issues caused the sales to plummet and caused Ford to discontinue the series in 1994.
